Reef and Tide Videos!
Last Set of Videos!!!
Two hours into the Pacific Ocean, you land on a giant floating pontoon. From that pontoon you can dive in a sub and take a little ride along the reef....
Outside our hotel in Cairns. The water traveled at least the lengths of two football fields in an hour when tide was coming in. Nuts.

Tim's Helicopter Adventure!
Poor kid was so sick that there was no way in hell I was letting him take the ferry back for two hours from the Great Barrier Reff. So I was a good wifey and shelled out the moolah for him to get his own helicopter ride back....at least he got footage of the view!!!

Ode to Cairns/GBR
Good Bye Cairns....I shall miss you. More than you know.
Towns run by hippies with the best fruit salad on earth.
Oceans that disappear during the tide.
Street performers with odd style.
Night Markets with endless tourist traps.
Italian eateries with calzones the size of my torso.
Not including the Great Barrier Reef...
Endless Coral
Endless Blue
Endless Green
Warm Sand
Intense sun
Sea Cucumbers
Strong Currents
Finding Nemo Fish
Coral at the top of the water
And a fish that tried to eat my leg off!

Hot!
Good lord Cairns is hot. Like holy whoa humidity. NOW I finally feel like I am in the South Pacific. Friday is a five star Great Barrier Reef Cruise and I could not be more pumped.
Snorkeling, fishies, hot, sun....maybe even a tan? Heaven forbid I get rid of this Vampiric skin I have been sporting for the past five weeks. Like really, I dont think I have been this pale since high school. This must change in the next four days. *fingers crossed*
Nessa would love it here. Sprawled out, meowing at everyone to bring her a cool beverage, swatting at every bird that squawks by (and thats a lot), but not bothering to move...*sigh*
I miss my kitties. But I like Cairns!
